John Pistole, Former Director of The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and current President of Anderson University, will discuss his time with TSA.

10:30 am – 11:15 am                        FedEx Indy Update

Donaldson Twyman, Managing Director, FedEx IND Hub, will discuss FedEx’s expansion plans in Indianapolis.

11:15 am – 11:30 am                        Legislative Update

Bob Duncan, of Counsel, Norris Choplin & Shroeder, will give an update on Aviation Indiana’s legislative agenda.

Brian Payne, Airport Director, Columbus Municipal Airport, will give an update on Aviation Indiana’s efforts in the aviation industry to create more interest for students to explore aviation careers.

2:00 pm – 2:30 pm                Intern.net

Mike Slocum, Executive Director, Indiana INTERNnet, will discuss his efforts to help employers start internship programs and how you can participate.

2:30 pm                                  Membership Meeting

This year’s Aviation Indiana Legislative Day will be in conjunction with the Association of Indiana Counties Legislative Conference, including a joint morning session and luncheon honoring Indiana Legislators.  We will have multiple room changes throughout the day.  We will not have coffee available until we start our AI only session at 10 am on the 2nd floor.  If you need that extra boost of coffee early in the morning, please grab a cup on your way.  Hotel has a Starbucks stand in the lobby restaurant.

Self-parking is available in the hotel’s garage located at 130 West Market Street for a reduced rate of $20 a day.  You will need to get a parking validation card when you check in with AI for the discounted fee.  You will be required to pay the full fee without this card.  REMEMBER to ask us for it.
